Invested in show design for a long time now, she created her first works for her school galas before composing entire shows scripted as actual theatre plays complete with a plot.

Thrown into the adventure without any real experience, she remembers her first dance gala as being an utter catastrophe! The very next morning, stronger as a result of her experience and conscious of the hardships that were encountered, she got back to work and put together her second show.

Ever since, every show created by Rakiya involves overcoming the same challenges: innovating, taking people by surprise and delivering a serious and jovial show!
Just like her dancing, all of Rakiya's theatrical creations contain an unexpected element; she seeks to amaze, captivate and transport spectators into a moment of pure escape.

Rich and sumptuous scenes, captivating music, joy and effervescence, her shows are characterized by a great richness of styles, a mix of dances (classical, hip-hop, Indian dancing, …) and a change of setting to deliver an astounding and original visual effect in order to communicate an idea or emotion.

From the design to the creation of the dances through artist selection, Rakiya creates tailored shows for dance companies, schools or firms.
